Bin there, done that

If you need any help on searching for a vintage bread bin, I'm your man. Found this beauty on ebay and now all my bread keeping fresh worries have been solved. This particular piece of kitchen enamelware is Polish.

What a Puffin Picture

A Book of Insects was just one of a fascinating, beautifully illustrated, colourful and educational series of books for children, first published at the start of the Second World War by Puffin. The series developed through the war years and beyond and is now collected avidly.

Toy Story

I found this old chap back in 1993 in an old corner shop in east London as they were clearing out old stock. It is from the Zoo collection made by toy manufacturer Britains during the 1970s. The packaging alone is enough to make you weep, but the elephant is even better, complete with wooden tusks and bendy ears.

Bird Box up

Paul Smith NYC has taken receipt of their first order of boxed foiled cards. The box was screen printed and constructed in the UK. I had to create labels that detailed the contents. Each box contains six cards and envelopes and there is a collection of bright and metallic designs to choose from.

Take Flight

Heal's have launched a new collection for this Spring. My Flight of Swallows print will be available on-line and instore as part of their successful art department that features many present day artists and illustrators.

Elk Decor

It may be off season and a poor play on words but thought you might like to see that Elle Decor were kind enough to feature one of my Animalphabet cards in their Christmas issue...I've only just discovered this myself.

My ABC...

Overdue, but almost there - here is a preview of three new designs that form the start of my Animalphabet range. Initially they will be small format prints and then perhaps cards, wrapping paper and maybe mugs.

Chutneys and tipples

My girlfriend Lucie and I, have been busy in the kitchen during this lead up to Christmas. We decided to supplement socks and chocolates with home made preserves - tomato and apple chutneys and a blackberry brandy tipple. The crafted hand writing is by Lucie and let the sampling commence!

Leader of the pack

I've followed up on my exclusive print 'Ice Hound' with a card to celebrate Midwinter (and to send to family and friends). A blank A6 card in three hand printed colours including a frosty silver. I still have a few left with envelopes, but I guess we've missed the last posting date, sorry.

County Fare

Two new screen prints added to My County series. 'My East Sussex' was partly created with Unlimited Editions, Brighton in mind and celebrates that iconic novel in Penguin orange and secondly 'My Lancashire' was a one off commission, and now I know that it is the home of Hornby.
