Autumn is...

Large golden harvest moons, blackberry and apple pie, steely bright Indian summer sunshine, walks in the wood, coffee tasting better, better TV, plummy wine and getting together with old and new friends.

Fish pie to dine for!

It was so nice and big helpings to of piping hot loveliness that I had to post a shot of it as it's not all about art on here.

Why did the chicken cross the road?

To get to the Hen & Chickens of course. Having a sunday beer I couldn't resist composing this shot of a window decal against the back drop outside. It's a cracking Bristol haunt for drink, food and plenty of premier league comedy.

Map find

I found this wonderfully illustrated pull out map/travel guide for Stockholm, Sweden in an antiques emporium in Lyme Regis.

Beach Combe

I have created an exclusive and limited edition, two colour screen print for online store Rockett StGeorge, entitled 'Beach Combe'. It is available from them now. The image is a found gull feather. I have also editioned 'Beach Combe 2' for myself, which is a light warm brown on black.

Version Tree

The Roost and Standing Giant 1 have now come to the end of their edition at the outsized A3 format. I have re-editioned them in new colourways. The Roost 3 is a deep red on a cool blue background and Standing Giant 3 is a bright purple on a warm yellow. All sizes are available.

Bristol member

Having been back in Bristol for a year now it occurred to me that my wallet held evidence that I was now truly back and at home again. I have subscribed, joined and signed up to good things in my home town and the picture above shows you just some of who's who and what's hot to do in Bristol.

Clockwise from top left: The Lido, Clifton/Ikea, Eastville (everywhere I know, but couldn't leave it out)/The Cube Cinema, Stokes Croft/Zero Degrees Bar, Park Row/The Olive Shed, Princes Wharf/Boston Tea Party, Park Street/A Fair Cup, The Centre/The Watershed, Canon's Road/Spike Island, Cumberland Road (centre).

Culture Label

The on-line creative hub Culture Label that sells unique gifts and affordable art, hand selected from over 400 galleries, artists, museums and independent stores has offered me a slot mainly to sell limited edition prints.

Take 'Flight'

I will be exhibiting along side two other Bristol based artists Dave Bain and Lea Lloyd at The Glass Room, within Bristol's Colston Hall. The exhibition 'Flight', presented by Drawn in Bristol, will run from 5th to 27th August with a Private View on Thursday 4th from 6pm to 9pm, where there will be refreshments and entertainment, plus an after show party.
