Show at The Art Cabin

The Art Cabin, created and curated no less by Joe Madeira, has taken over a space at 281 New Kings Road, London and will be exhibiting exclusive and limited edition work by myself and Anna Howarth. It runs from 28 September and finishes on 24 October. There is a Private View on Thursday 27th from 6-9 pm.

On show will be my PREY and BLACKWOOD series of large, limited editioned screen prints plus a few others. I hope you can make it to The Art Cabin's first public venture, London's new contemporary arts venue.

White Bear, Black Bear

The choice of two different bear designs on one, double sided cushion cover. You could be in a Black Bear kind of mood or simply want to change to all white. My Black Bear, White Bear cushion cover is screen printed in two colours onto bleached cotton drill and measures 40cm square. There is a zipped opening and it is supplied as a cover only...surely the bear necessity?

Woolf

Cuddle up to 'Woolf'. This cushion has been knitted in the Shetland Isles from 100% lambs wool. It measures 40cm square and is supplied with a duck feathered filling. There is a simple unfastened opening on the reverse and this is the first of several colour variations planned...
you could say that he's a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Colour Zoo cards

Did you know that the Blue Whale is the largest animal ever to live, bigger even than the largest of the dinosaurs - it's also one of my new foiled animal card designs called Colour Zoo. The cards are A6 and foil blocked onto 100% recycled dutch grey board.

Trees company

Above are my latest additions to my Tree series of prints. A few popular images have a new colour way and they are all available in various sizes from undersized A4 to A0. I'm currently working on a shopfront as part of the Big Cartel site and that should be open for business soon.

From top to bottom their titles are: Raven's Seat 2, Silverwood 3, Standing Giant 3, The Green, The Levels 3, The Roost 3 and The Sentinels.

High5 to Design Supremo

Online print emporium that is Design Supremo, aka Ben and Chris, is five years old this year and they kindly invited five artists to create an artwork on the theme of High5. My contribution features a pod of Killer Whales. Illustrator Andy Smith and myself travelled to Bob Eight Pop screen printers in E10 London where the single colour, A2 prints were expertly printed. They will be available from Design Supremo as a series of limited edition screen prints.

Super superficial T

The home of contemporary T-shirt printing is Super superficial. They asked to use my 'Brilliance' design of a scarlet macaw to become this month's new T. Sign up soon for a subscription and you will receive this design for a discounted price.

Riso Happy

Colour Zoo is my new series of images - Red Fox, Black Bear, Green Tree Python, Pink Flamingo, Blue Whale and Yellowfin Tuna. Their single colours have meant they lend themselves well to being printed as Risograph prints. Each print is A3 and printed onto Munken Lynx smooth white paper at 240 gram. Each design is a limited edition of 30 and will cost £10. The series will be applied to greeting cards and screen prints soon.

The Risograph is an environmentally friendly and cost effective printing method which uses soy based inks to produce unique results. Each print has imperfections, but this is the appealing nature of a risograph print and it's basic method of printing.
