RIGHT RURAL RETURN

The Victoria Art gallery, Bath is exhibiting David Inshaw's 'The Badminton Game' from July until the end of 2013 as part of a free exhibition. It was first seen at Bath so it has returned after 40 years to it's west country.

SALE CRIED WOOLF

I've just added my two Woolf lambs wool cushions to my SALE page. The similar designs - Ice and Powder blue have been reduced in price as who wants to cuddle up to a Woolf in this heat!?

Found this discarded match book cover in an antiques salvage yard. The design repeats but my image box couldn't manage it, but I wanted you to see it up close.

GROW VEG SOUP

This is another charity shop find and the pick of my daughter Belle's bookshelf. It's written and illustrated by Lois Ehlert. Her bold, richly coloured paper cut style illustrations show us how to make vegetable soup from scratch including the tools we need to grow the veg to eating the best ever soup all up!

QUARTZ CUSHION

It is still to be made but this new cushion design features a forthcoming series of prints titled Quartz. Each image will be a complex overlay of two colour groups and there will hopefully be colour variants to pick from.

FULL SWEDISH

I recently tripped to Stockholm, Sweden, the city of design, elk burgers, capital of Scandinavia and tiny, expensive horse folk art fridge magnets. As well as being expensive the place was dripping in visual overcool, colour and pattern. If you want details of the above images I can do that.

PACK OF WOOLF

These are three of five, one-off, prototype cushion covers created during the process to design my final Woolf cushion. They, like the final design, are all made from 100% lambs wool, made in the Shetland Isles. They feature the Woolf portrait in various formats. All five of the covers are functionable and are now available at my online shop.

YOU CAN COME TO!

'The Zoo' is the latest charity shop find for my daughter Belle's library. This Ladybird 'Learning to Read' book was published in 1960 and features illustrations by Barry Driscoll. "The sentences and the pictures are skilfully matched so that many beginners can work out for themselves what the words say".

MOTIF MAG

I was in the print studio this month and found on the shelves of the office library a collection of hard backed and bound issues of MOTIF Magazine.

each issue holds beautifully illustrated articles about subjects such as painting, sculpture and art education. These visual feasts spanned 13 issues from 1958 to 1967. I managed to take the odd snap while waiting to pay for my materials.
