IN ELLE

The June issue of Elle Decoration UK features Fox cushion as part of a shop feature on Unlimited in Brighton and the Butterfly card range.

WORLD OF PAPER

Choosing Keeping on London's Columbia Road invites you in to a world of stationery including writing/office equipment and decorative desktop accessories. The background, manufacturer and history to each product is made available. The Astier Villatte letterpress 2014 Diary caught my eye.

CAPTURED

Certainly was - when on a trip down Columbia Road in London's E2, I came across many independent pioneering stores and one stood out. Captured by sells a select collection of well designed and aesthetically pleasing products for the home as well as jewellery and clothing. It was a homely shrine devoted to good pure design and coffee served from a window.

SOMETHING ELSE

Go buy at Something Else, Bristol. I popped in for the first time recently and was impressed by the collection of paper products including richly designed books, wrapping paper and stationery gifts. Happy to be stocking a few card designs there. It certainly had the clout of a contemporary London store, one that is quite unique to Bristol and about time.

CUT-OUT + KEEP

It has to be the art event of the year - Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs. This landmark show explores the final chapter in his career in which he began 'carving into colour' and his series of spectacular cut-outs was born. It open tomorrow, 17 April until 7 September at Tate Modern, London.

HARP ON

I didn't know that this marvel existed. It's described as a hidden gem found in Cincinnati. Tucked inside the John Weld Peck Federal Building is a spectacular mural created by Charley Harper. This enormous ceramic tile mosaic spreads over two walls and features over 100 beautiful beasts.

NEXT WEEK

Just a gentle reminder...Unlimited will be setting up shop for the second year running at Pick Me Up held at Somerset House, London. It is the UK's leading contemporary graphic arts festival. It opens next week from 24 April to 5 May.

RARE

There's only a handful of the Fluorescent Peacock left in the country. There are three species released as mini A5 prints. Each design is printed using two contrasting fluorescent inks. This rare find will be no more once the last has gone but you can spot them in their natural habitat which is Pick me Up, London at Unlimited's stand and online.

FLOWER POWER

Above is a preview of one of six new cards from a new range titled 'Bloom'. The artwork has just left my desktop which will give me just enough time to think of other flower puns.
